Our Ministries
We strive to reach people anyway we can and we are always seeking God's Guidance to be able to form more ministries to reach all we can and help all those in need and seeking a change in their lives.
CHILDREN MINISTRY
The heart of children's ministry at our church is to teach kids about who God is and how His word applies to their lives in creative and memorable ways. Through engaging teaching, supportive environments, and close knit small group classes, we guide kids towards a better understanding of what it means to have a real relationship with Jesus Christ. We want kids to know that the Bible is full of many life impacting stories that is needed in their lives today, and that we have fun at church, but most of all we learn the true meaning of what life is truly about, and how much was given for us to have a close relationship with Jesus Christ.
STUDENTS MINISTRY
If you spend any time around our church at all, you'll quickly learn one thing: we love the youth. They're smart, funny, bold, and they're bursting with potential. We truly believe that the middle and high school students in our midst are world changers in the making.
That's why student ministry is such a huge part of what we do at our church. We want to guide our students in developing a personal faith in Christ as they step into their specific roles in the story He's writing with their lives. We work hard to create environments that engage students in good conversation about God, encouraging them to ask questions, search out answers, and truly learn to listen to His leading in their lives. We strive in our children & student ministries to teach them how important it is to develop a life with Jesus Christ, how important it is to be modest, & how important it is to win many other kids to Christ as we are to be a true living sacrifice for Christ.
ADULTS MINISTRY
Don't worry, all the good stuff at our church isn't just for the under 18 crowd! We have plenty of engaging events and gatherings designed to build the faith and community of our adults as well. Young or old, Christian or not, single or married, man or woman, black or white, rich or poor—we've got a place for you here at True Light Baptist Church. We want you to come just the way you are, but leave as a born-again CHILD OF GOD!
OUTREACH MINISTRIES
We believe here at TLBC that all lives are precious to Jesus and that He died for ALL! We believe that anyone can come to Jesus with a broken heart & sincere spirit to truly want to change their lives. That's why we go to the Jails & Prisons to reach those with the gospel that have made mistakes in their lives just like we all have and to let them know there is forgiveness at the foot of the cross!
UNDER THE TENT MINISTRY
We started this ministry when we first started this church because we believe you can never have too much outreach. We use this tent to go beyond our 4 walls and reach everyone we can as we go street preaching & soul-winning. We are very passionate about souls, and believe we need to reach as many as we can before it is too late. Under the tent we offer prayer, KJV bibles, water, and sometimes food. We do all of this just to see one more soul saved from Hell and it is worth every second that we put into this ministry.
